Not Feeling Like Training? Just Stay Consistent...

How are you feeling on the mats lately? Great... Or not so great?
Does it feel, perhaps, as if you're losing your passion for Jiu-Jitsu? That you have to force yourself to go to class, to train, even though you'd rather stay at home (or do wherever else)...?

Don't worry. It's perfectly normal to feel this way.
You just have to make sure you stay consistent.

 

JUST KEEP GOING

So you're not feeling like doing anything BJJ-related? That's alright...
Because, here's the thing: when was the last time you've done something for a while - without ever feeling like not doing it?

For example, seeing your significant other. Yes, you love them and you want to see them as often as possible, spend quality time together, have fun...
But sometimes, things happen. You have an argument or they do something you don't like. And it makes you want to be anywhere else but with that person, in that given moment. Or minutes. Maybe even hours, days...

Often times, it's the same thing with Jiu-Jitsu. Something might be feeling off, you might not be satisfied with your progress, you might be tired and overwhelmed in your everyday life...
But here's the catch.

Just because you feel a bit overwhelmed in your relationship doesn't have to mean you should split with your significant other. It might mean that you have to talk to each other and take care of any underlying issues there may be.
In other words, you need to stay consistent and talk it out. You should keep going, while trying to correct any issues there might be between the two of you. 

And it's the same thing with Jiu-Jitsu. Don't stop just because you don't feel like training.
Just staying consistent will often fix the problem. And you'll feel like training again. Or it might take some troubleshooting and figuring out the reasons why you don't feel like going to Jiu-Jitsu.

The most valuable things in life are worth the extra effort.
Those things that make you feel good, that make you healthier, more fulfilled, successful... They're worth figuring it out and staying consistent.
