Hey, it's Rafael. I'm in Vegas and, as I approach my final ADCC competition, I can’t help but reflect on the journey that has brought me to this point.

Competing at ADCC has been a dream every time I stepped on its mats, and throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of testing myself against some of the best grapplers in the world.

But this year is different. This time, it’s not just about competing.
It’s about closing a chapter - a chapter filled with dedication, struggle, triumph, and growth.

The road to ADCC 2024 has been anything but easy.
Every training session, every setback, and every moment of doubt has been a part of the process.

The physical demands are immense, but it’s the mental battles that truly test your resolve. Staying focused, maintaining discipline, and pushing through when your body and mind are screaming to stop, those are the moments that define who you are as a competitor and person as well.
At least in my opinion and experience.

Throughout my career, I’ve always believed in the importance of embracing the grind.
There are no shortcuts to success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, especially at the level that ADCC demands.

Every day on the mats, I’ve pushed myself to my limits, refining techniques, sharpening strategies, and preparing my body for the grueling matches ahead.
It’s always a relentless - always a timeless - pursuit of perfection, knowing that every small detail can make the difference between victory and defeat.

So, as I step onto the ADCC mats for the last time, I’m filled with a deep sense of purpose.
This is my final shot at capturing the title that has eluded me and I’m ready to give everything I have.

Win or lose, this journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
It’s a journey that has been defined by effort, sacrifice, and the belief that anything is possible if you’re willing to work for it.

To those who have supported me, thank you for being part of this incredible ride.
Your belief in me has been a constant source of motivation, and I carry that with me into this final battle.

Now, it’s time to finish what we started.
